I like to meet pets and owners before starting service. This gives everyone an opportunity to get acquainted and at the same time discuss the specific needs of your pet. It also allows me to explain the many benefits that Smiley Pup offers. The initial consultation to discuss your pet care needs is FREE.
Dog Walks
Smiley Pup provides walks for dogs of every size, energy level, and personality – and all walks are individual, so your pet receives my full attention the entire visit. Depending upon your dog’s needs, walks can last the full 30 minutes or they can be shorter, with in-house playing or backyard ball-tossing thrown into the mix. If you tell me what makes your dog happy, that’s what he or she will receive. Walks of longer than 30 minutes are also available upon request.

Pet Visits While You Are Away
There’s no place like home. Your pet thinks so too. Smiley Pup will provide as many daily visits as you wish so that your pet is able to remain comfortable and secure in his or her own home while you are away. Although some pets do very well in kennels, many others find a strange environment filled with unfamiliar people and animals to be a very stressful experience. Keeping your pet at home while you are away also greatly reduces their exposure to illness, in addition to keeping them safe from injury. I am overly cautious – I double (and triple!) check that collars and leashes are securely fastened, gates are closed, doors are locked, and that water bowls are full.
I typically visit dogs three (3) times per day, during which I will walk, feed, administer any necessary medication, provide fresh water, and provide play time. I typically visit cats one (1) time per day, during which I will feed, administer any necessary medication, provide fresh water, clean the litter box, and provide play time. Also included in every visit are lots of pats and general adoration! If your pet requires additional daily visits or specialized care while you are away, I'm happy to accommodate.
Smiley Pup will also ensure that your home looks lived in while you're gone, to help protect you from a break-in. In addition to bringing in mail and packages, watering plants, making sure lights are turned on in the evening and turned off during the day, I can accommodate whatever else you need.
